A media platform exploring the ideas shaping our lives, businesses, communities and future.

The African Man — community, purpose, and the conversations shaping our future

Conversations That Challenge Your Thinking

Some ideas should make you uncomfortable.

Some questions deserve more than a 30-second answer.

The African Man explores the decisions, beliefs and systems shaping how we live, work, build businesses, lead people and understand the world around us.

We talk about the things that matter — business, leadership, money, relationships, culture, technology, Africa, personal responsibility and the decisions we make every day.

Not to tell you what to think.

To challenge you to think.

We ask questions like:

These are the conversations we believe are worth having.

About Fowobi

Builder. Entrepreneur. Teacher. African.

I’m Fowobi, founder and host of The African Man.

My work sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship, technology, education, media and African development.

But The African Man didn’t begin because I wanted to build another podcast.

It began with a bigger question:

What happens when we invest seriously in the way people think?

I believe stronger individuals build stronger businesses.

Stronger businesses create stronger communities.

And stronger communities can build stronger nations.

My goal is to use conversations, education, technology and entrepreneurship to help develop the next generation of builders, leaders and innovators.

The African Man is one part of that mission.

What does it mean to be an African Man?

The African Man is bigger than one person.

And it isn’t limited to men.

It represents a standard.

African Man is not simply an identity.

It is a standard of character, responsibility and contribution.

More than a podcast

Ideas are powerful. But ideas become more meaningful when people can act on them.

That is why The African Man connects people to a larger ecosystem built around education, entrepreneurship, community and opportunity.
