Fowobi: Building the Next Generation of African Leaders

Meet the host

FowobiAdebolaji Onikoyi—is a Nigerian-born innovator from Lagos now based in the United States. His path is one of purpose, discipline, and vision: bridging continents through technology, education, and leadership—and inviting everyone who claims the African man standard to grow alongside him.

Fowobi — Adebolaji Onikoyi, host of The African Man Podcast, African man leadership and mentorship

From Lagos to a global mission

Raised in Lagos, Fowobi carries the energy of a city that rewards hustle and punishes excuses. Living in the U.S. sharpened a different skill: translating contexts—building for audiences across time zones without losing the thread of home. That dual lens shows up in how he teaches, how he speaks on The African Man Podcast, and how he designs products people can actually use.

Education that pairs people with systems

He holds a bachelor’s in Business and Psychology with a focus on Organizational Behavior, and a master’s in Computer Science concentrating in Software Engineering. The combination is intentional: technology moves fastest when it understands humans—teams, incentives, stress, and culture.

As a Software Engineer, Entrepreneur, and Teacher, he builds in public and learns in public. The podcast is not a side hobby; it is part of the same mission as his platforms—building tomorrow’s African leaders today through mentorship, honest conversation, and practical guidance for anyone committed to excellence.

“I care about leaders who will move our communities forward—through business, technology, and personal development. The African man conversation on this show is about standard and service—not gatekeeping by gender.”

The African Man Podcast

As host, Fowobi steers long-form dialogue on growth, identity, leadership, and what it costs to build a meaningful life in the diaspora and on the continent. Guests and solo episodes alike treat listeners as adults: nuance over noise, strategy over slogans.
